I am a Licensed Professional Counselor gone rogue. Schooled in Clinical Psychology after 40 years of practice, I'm leaning into the wisdom of the body. Here's a bit about me.
My parents are from Ecuador, where it's pretty common to have nannies help raise large families. They had 8 kids and brought in two monolingual Indian women (angels in disguise:) without formal education to be our primary caretakers. My upbringing exposed me early to cultural diversity with an amazing range of perspective between life in the US and that of a third world country. My earth school lessons began early, bouncing back and forth between countries, cultures, languages and all the nuances of socialization in schools, religion and family.
Belonging is something I began questioning at a very early age. My sense of separateness launched my journey as a seeker. The contradictions in the teachings of the Roman Catholic education didn't sit well. I resisted the indoctrination quietly at first becoming introverted, then outwardly rebelling. I decided to find a way out... studying psychology, practicing eastern teachings exploring plant medicine and consulting psychics/energy healers.
Ultimately pain gets credited as my greatest teacher. After a lifetime of distracting from and suppressing emotions, my nervous system crashed. I physically could not hold anymore inside. My body would shake and cry as I released wave after wave of suppressed emotion. I'm still in process and humbled by these swells of energy that assert themselves in my life. But the pain is gone. I inner-stand how things work now and am proactive in practicing breathing/releasing and meeting these energies as teachers.
I also practice yoga, hape'/meditation, nature walks and writing which have supported me immensely. There's a wellspring of regenerative energy inside each of us that we simply have not been taught to find. But through diligent practice we can all find it and free ourselves.
I've been counseling, coaching and teaching in the field of psychology for 40+ years however, my primary focus and true calling is to assist you in awakening to this sacred peace within.
I speak Spanish, the language of the subconscious, facilitate The Work of Byron Katie, incorporate new modalities in energy psychology including hypnotherapy, EMDR, Emotional Freedom Tapping, Somatic Release Breath work, Yoga, Shamanic Reiki, sound healing, and my new personal favorite... integrating plant medicine.
I meet clients in my home, over the internet, in parks, lakes, gardens and lead group embodiment classes to those interested in adding the support of a heart-minded community to their journey.

My greatest teachers in this earth school have been my children.
